EverWebClipper for Evernote - Clip Web Pages App Reviews

Current version is awesome

I was a little hesitant to buy this due to several negative reviews. It seems like people had troubles installing the Safari bookmark on previous versions, but I had no problem. It only takes a minute or two and there are instructions to walk you through it. If you follow the instructions, the app works great. Thanks to the developer -- Ive been looking for a way to do this for years.

Cant save receipts

A nice idea that works except for the main reason I bought it: you cannot save webpages that you are logged into, such as purchase receipts.

Might want to pass

I love Evernote. Probably one of my most used apps. But this one does not make clipping easier. The set-up on the iPhone can be challenging.

Clipper creates ugly notes, no ability to select whats clipped.

Clipper creates ugly notes, no ability to select whats clipped, screws up formatting and has to then be cleaned up in Evernote. I want my money back.

Dont waste your money!

Downloaded and installed. The interface if so flaky and poor its faster to copy the page text, open your Evernote app, create a new page then paste the text into the note.

Works perfectly so far!

Ive only used it for a few articles so far, but it seems to work like a charm! The clippings look very good in this version and the java applet for Safari makes clipping seamless. No crashes yet. At 2.99 with such low ratings its a risk, but Im glad I gave it a try.

Does Not Work! Poor UI! Time-Consuming! #FAIL

I wanted a great web clipper that worked with Evernote, so I believed the two recent, positive reviews listed. Please dont make the same mistake I did. Ive just wasted an hour attempting to make the app function properly. By following the instructions you can easily download the web clipper into Safari ... thats not the issue. From there, you can clip a page, but... (1) The clipped page opens into the EverClipper app -- not Evernote. Whats the point?!?? Thats just further wasting my time. Multiple steps are needed within the app before even getting to Evernote. (2) THEN, it will take anywhere from 1 to 5 to 10 minutes for the clip to get from the app into Evernote. (3) Once in Evernote, the formatting is completely off and the clip looks awful!! (4) And to make matters worse... The app crashed 10 times in the hour I was using it.... So much so that after an hour of frustration I went into settings to Write the Devs to ask for my money back -- and the app wouldnt Stay Open long enough for me to write the email!! DONT DOWNLOAD this app. #MajorFail

App keeps freezing

Cant even use this app now because it freezes every time I try to use it. I use this app all of the time. Please fix!

Keeps crashing

This app crashes almost every time I try to use it. But when it works, it works easily and well. The UI could use some work (it uses nonstandard text fields, for instance), but its functional. If only it would work without crashing, it would be worth money.

Love the app, dislike the drop puts

When it works its great. Convenient when using with my Evernote app however some days you hit the app and it drops right out it again drops right out etc.

Chrome supported (instructions below) and amazing support!

I rarely write reviews unless I feel the company went way above and beyond to help or I can add some value. Even then, Im not one to just throw out a 5-star rating, but support really came through and made sure I was taken care of. I downloaded the app believing it worked with Chrome browser for iOS after seeing "Chrome" as one of the options for "Back to Browser" on the last example photo. I was really excited to finally find a way to send all my tabs to Evernote from Chrome. After spending a long time and getting frustrated I followed the advice in the apps description and reached out to support to get help. I asked if Chrome was supported and they said unfortunately it wasnt. I replied upset that I felt misled and something crazy happened...they took the time to make things right! Within the next 30 mins I got a reply with a link to someone whod figured out how to use applets in Chrome and then another linking to more info a bit later. They actually spent a good amount of time researching to get me a solution and it worked. Being a user of Pocket, I actually should have realized that you had to just follow the instructions on how to use them to make it work. You set it up the exact same way as with Safari (create bookmark > change name to your liking and you can change URL at the same time to the applet script from EverWebClipper settings). Then the main difference is in the execution. With Chrome, you hit the URL at the top, just as if you wanted to change it, and type in the name you gave your favorite (mine is "EverWebClipper"). Then it automatically opens up your app. Then you just fill in your info, choose your settings and press "save" and boom, your web pages are in Evernote. Thank you support for taking the time to make things right and going above and beyond to help me out! Thank you for taking the time to research and not just writing a customer off because they were upset. Ill make sure to write a good review in just a little bit.

Does what it says

Got it working in Safari with built in instructions, 5 minutes. Thanks to the other reviewer who posted how to get it working in Chrome, my preferred browser. Again, 5 minutes. Hint to the developers, Adding these instructions to the app would be super simple. There may be a better or cheaper way to do this that I wasnt able to find but the app was quick and worth it. Thank you!

Has potential, but ...

I downloaded this app to save articles from my iPhone 5c to Evernote. While it worked initially, the clipper now only seems to be able to save thumbnails, not full articles or even links.

Cant get it to work

Cant clip anything into my Evernote acct :(

ok app

It clips web pages. Not the more intuitional to use, but better than nothing. Ill continue to look for a better product, but in the meantime at least I have something to get articles into Evernote from my iPhone.

Used to work

Now just hangs.. And then crashes

Crashes Incessantly

Its a really great idea, and the overall design is good. One problem: it crashes all the time. If it worked, 5⭐️. As it stands, 1.

Flakey at best

This app is one of my biggest regrets. It crashes almost constantly, and when it does manage to load the note? It opens it in web clipper and not in evernote! I would much rather save my sites to Pocket and then use IFTTT to store them in evernote.

What am I missing

I downloaded this app thinking I needed it to clip web pages for Evernote. I dont understand what or how Im supposed to use as stand alone. The text is all scrunched together so difficult to read. Where does it save web page to? It seems as though its missing something or maybe it didnt finish downloading .
